Two dormant chapters of the society in the District Columbia re-activated this academic year. The Epsilon Beta chapter at George Washington University and the Gamma Xi chapter at Howard University both initiated new members in festive ceremonies. Epsilon Beta inducted ten new members on February 23, and Gamma Xi six on April 29 . The chapter sponsor at George Washington is Prof. Katherine Wasdin, and the sponsor at Howard is Prof. Caroline Stark.
These two chapters join Eta Kappa at the Catholic University of America as active chapters in D.C.. Beta Tau at Georgetown remains inactive. For a distribution of all Eta Sigma Phi chapters in the United States and Canada, see our nifty map.
